What EarlyBegin is (and isn't)
EarlyBegin (earlybegin.com) is a free informational guide that helps parents of children ages 0–3 understand developmental milestones and navigate their state's early intervention (Part C) program. By using the site, you agree to these terms.
EarlyBegin is not medical advice. We are not doctors, therapists, or a healthcare provider, and using the site does not create any provider–patient relationship. Our milestone information is based on published sources like the CDC's milestone guidance, but only a qualified professional who sees your child can evaluate their development. If you have concerns about your child's health or development, talk to your pediatrician. If your child needs urgent medical help, call 911.
We are not a government agency. We link to and describe official state early intervention programs, but we aren't affiliated with, endorsed by, or speaking for any of them.
Accuracy — our promise and its limits
We work to keep every state's program name, phone number, and process accurate, and we verify contact details against official sources. But programs reorganize, phone numbers change, and laws are amended. Information here may occasionally be out of date — always confirm details with your state's official program. If you spot an error, tell us at [email protected] and we'll fix it quickly.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 to create an account, and the information you provide must be accurate.
- You're responsible for keeping your password private and for activity on your account.
- Only add information about a child if you are their parent or legal guardian.
- You can delete your account at any time by emailing us (see the Privacy Policy).
- We may suspend or close accounts used to abuse the service or other people.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service: no unlawful use, no attempting to break or overload the site, no scraping other users' information, and no uploading content that is malicious or that you don't have the right to share.
Content
- Ours: the site's content belongs to EarlyBegin. You're welcome — encouraged — to link to it and share it. Please don't republish substantial portions commercially without asking.
- Yours: what you submit (like support messages or information about your child) remains yours. You give us permission to use it only as needed to run the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
The service is free and provided "as is"
EarlyBegin costs nothing. In exchange for a free service, you accept that it's provided as is, without warranties of any kind, and that we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every page is error-free. We may change, pause, or discontinue features — though if we ever discontinued the service, we'd say so on the site rather than just disappearing.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, EarlyBegin and its operator aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us to use the service — which is zero. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
Changes
If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
